Northwest Tucson

Northwest is a neighborhood in Tucson, Arizona with a population of 1,612. Northwest is in Pima County. Living in Northwest offers residents a dense suburban feel and most residents rent their homes. In Northwest there are a lot of bars, restaurants, coffee shops, and parks. Many young professionals live in Northwest. The public schools in Northwest are above average and include the nations top elementary and high school, BASIS Charter schools.

This area of town is bordered by I-10 to the west, the Tortolita Mountains to the north, the Catalina Mountains to the east, and River Road to the south and contains  the following zip codes: 85658, 85704, 85737, 85741, 85742, and 85755.

Northwest Tucson includes the towns of Oro Valley and Marana and is primarily the newer part of town with a lot of growth occurring in the last two decades, with a few older neighborhoods here and there. It has many of golf courses and several master-planned communities.
